ENTFÄLLT ! Gaza. Location and Image in the Israeli Space

In July 2023, a collection of articles was published in Israel, which examined Gaza as an Israeli place, a place in the Israeli consciousness, both outside and within. The book offered a comprehensive examination of Gaza as a place and as an image in Israel through a variety of disciplines related to cultural studies: the history of Israel and Palestine, poetry and literature, film and television, art and architecture. A few weeks later, on October 7, 2023, extreme violence broke, which has put Gaza at the center of global attention, and cast Israel/Palestine into its deepest crisis. One year after, this panel will go back to the texts of the collection and reflect through them on the new situation.
